What are clients say about us.

I was nervous about bringing my young daughter to play therapy but Deirdre and her team immediately put her at ease. Through play therapy my daughter opened up in ways I never expected. The difference in her confidence has been remarkable. I cannot recommend this service highly enough.

Sarah M. - Parent to young child

I put off seeking help for years but reaching out to Tipperary Counselling Service was the best decision I ever made. Deirdre and her team listened without judgement and helped me work through things I had carried for years. I feel like myself again.

Thank you so much.

Marie L. - Adult Client

“Finding the right support for my teenage son felt overwhelming at first. From the first session Deirdre connected with him and he was eager to return. He actually looked forward to going, which says everything. It has made the world of difference to him and as a parent it has given me great peace of mind .”

David K. - Parent to Teenager

As a man, I always thought therapy wasn't really for me. I was wrong. Deirdre made me feel completely comfortable from the start. Its a space where I could finally talk openly and it has genuinely changed my life.

Michael R. - Adult Client

How do I know if my child needs play therapy?

A: If your child struggles to express emotions, has frequent meltdowns, seems withdrawn, or you're noticing behavioral changes, play therapy can help. Even if you're just concerned, trust your instincts—we're here to guide you and determine the best support for your family.

Will my teenager actually talk to a therapist?

A: Absolutely. Our therapists specialize in connecting with teens on their level, creating a safe space free from judgment. Many parents are amazed at how quickly their teens open up when they finally feel heard and understood by someone who "gets" their world.

Q: How is your service different from other counselling options?

A: Our therapists combine professional qualifications with lived experience of the challenges you face. This unique blend means you're not just getting textbook solutions—you're working with someone who truly understands your journey. Plus, we focus on immediate relief; clients often leave their first session feeling lighter and more hopeful.

Q: Do you offer online sessions?

A: Yes! We provide both face-to-face and online counselling options to fit your lifestyle and comfort level. Our online sessions are just as effective as in-person meetings, offering the same professional, nurturing support from wherever you feel most comfortable.

Q: I feel embarrassed about needing therapy. Is this normal?

A: Completely normal, and you're not alone. Many of our clients initially feel this way. Seeking support is actually a sign of strength and self-awareness. Our warm, professional approach helps that embarrassment quickly transform into relief and empowerment as you realize you've found exactly the right place.
