Play Therapy for Children

A safe, gentle space for little ones to express what they're feeling.

When your child can't find the words

Children don't always have the words to explain what they're feeling. Play therapy gives them another way — through toys, art, sand, and storytelling, children can express and process experiences that are too big or too confusing to put into language.

Play therapy is child-led, which means your child directs the session at their own pace. There is no pressure, no agenda, and no right or wrong way to play. The therapist follows the child's lead, gently creating the conditions for healing and growth.

Who can play therapy help?

Play therapy can support children experiencing:

  • Anxiety and worry

  • Behavioural difficulties

  • Grief and loss

  • Family changes such as separation or bereavement

  • Trauma or abuse

  • Difficulties at school

  • Low self-esteem

  • Neurodivergence including autism and ADHD

  • Emotional dysregulation
